38.960201 -84.500837Wonderful place. We have been going to Nicks Grove since 1995. The food is excellent off the menu and we have always had wonderful service. The owners are very nice. We love the fireworks. The Prime Rib is fabulous. People love the fried chicken. A lot of things they server are homemade. We love Nick's Grove and would recommend it to everyone. Nice to be able to make reservations too!!!
Don't get the steak!!!.
Went to a close friend's 50th Birthday party at Nick's Grove. I don't believe anything was complimentary despite the fact my friend had at least 35 guests who where all ordering from the menu, etc.
Anyway, the service sucked...everyone was eating at different times and the steak I ordered was probably the worse one I have ever seen in any restuarant. I ordered a medium and got a burned one....I was pretty sure they reheated someone else's wrong order and served it to me. They brought me another one after making a big deal with the waitress and the manager. I was waiting for the owner to show up and in order to give them approval to replace the nasty piece of meat that was on my table. By the time I was finally served, everyone was finished eating. As for the staff......very unfriendly and they appear to really care if you where enjoying it or not. I got the impression that they really didn't want any new customers!!! I will not be going back there during this lifetime....unless I am forced. I would not recommend them to any of my friends or neighbors.
family restaurant.
Just went to nick's couple days ago. The business was started light but packed up pretty quick. The space between tables are very small so there is no privacy at all. We sat between a 4 people and a 12 people table, and we could not hear each other's talking. We had chicken in wine (small portion for 14.95) and fried chicken. The food is ok, to me is average, nothing really special.
The highlight is fireworks for someone's birthday and tasty rye bread.
Great Food & Service. My husband and I frequently go to Nick's Grove. We have found the people to be delightful and the food very good. The Chicken in Wine is highly recommended! After a few visits you feel like family. The fireworks are great for kids and adults.
Awful Food. This may possibly be the most overpriced restaurant in the Northern Kentucky area. I was there for a Sunday buffet and was surely disappointed. My husband and I spent over $60 for food that I could have gotten in any hospital cafeteria. Event he beer was warm! Also, the service was subpar and disappointing. I will not go back to Nick's Grove!
