The Skinny This dive is open 24-hours a day, seven days a week, and is best enjoyed during the wee hours when it doesn't seem quite as seedy. At the Anchor Grill, waitresses call you "honey" while serving you breakfast, sandwiches or dessert. It's classic short-order cooking. Why go to a chain when you can experience a diner with character? The Mood Each booth features a jukebox. Pop in a quarter to play your songs, and to activate the dancing Barbie diorama.

Whenever we are in the Cincy area, usually for baseball or shows at Southgate House, my group and I always head over to the Anchor for breakfast/lunch before heading home to Chicago. I love places that you can walk into and know it 's exactly the same way it was 50 years ago. I always order the goetta, a dish that can only be found in that region of Ohio/Kentucky. You can order it on it's own or inside an omlette.
The prices are dirt cheap too!
If you like authentic old-timey, greasy spoon diners, make sure to stop here if you are in the area.

Insect Salad

I recently visited the Anchor Grill at 1 AM on Friday evening. The place is dirty in the extreme. I ordered a salad and found insects in it. When I complained the salad was replaced but there was no appology from the staff. This makes the second time in five visits that I found filth in the food that was served to me. My iced tea was spoiled and it too had to be replaced. The wait staff are vile and treat the customers with little respect. I have seen them throw out more than one guy for nothing more than being slightly drunk. I am finished with this place. Taco Bell is open late and its food is safe to eat.

This is a great place to catch lunch or a late night snack. Great burgers and onion rings among other things. Open 24/7 so anytime will do...
