Indigo Cafe.
We love the place. Over the years we have driven past it but never stopped. Decided to do about 5 months ago. We enjoy sitting in the outside garden area in the evening.
Everything we have sampled so far has been very good and reasonably priced.
Taken friends there and they have enjoyed the food also. So glad we found this little gem.
Nice Unique place to eat. Indigo is a nice change of pace from your ordinary chain establishments. The food is good and not too pricey. The atmosphere is nice but could use a little updating. This is one of my favorite places to eat.
Waste of Time and Money. We have tried this restaurant 4 times. Mainly because it is close to home and we had gift certificates. The first try was over a year ago and was decent. The last 3 times were down right bad. 2nd try my food looked like it came from a can and our server was simply the worst we ever had. Our 3rd and 4th attempts we just horrible. The 3rd try, my guests could not eat their meals because they were disgusting in taste and smell. I had a wrap with crunchy undercooked minute rice and it tasted burnt. Our 4th and final attempt reminded me of an episode of Gordon Ramsey's kitchen nightmares. After being in the restaurant for 10min. we were the only customers. Our food was complimented by the greasest, limpest, unedible reheated french fries. My kids who will eat anything, would not eat the fries. I never send food back or complain....ever, but these were too much to handle. I made the server take them off our bill. We were then run out of their non-smoking lunch service by the overwhelming smell of smoke by a table that was recently seated near us. I can't imagine them surviving in this economy serving such horrible food at such high prices.
Great setting, fantastic menu. I've been here repeatedly, and it's a great place for those looking for comfort Italian, and those looking for an outstanding salad. The menu is quite extensive, and the neighborhood is cozy. I love to take out of towners here. Highly recommended.
Options and extras enliven the pastas, salads, pizzas and calzones at this Italian cafe..
In Short
The Hyde Park location offers a colorful, cozy dining room and outdoor plaza. Diners can enjoy the view of the Square, or observe the goings-on in the kitchen through a convenient window. The wide variety of pastas, pizzas, calzones, sandwiches and salads becomes even more varied with the "create your own" options. Goodies like sun dried cranberries, fresh basil, peppered turkey, crunchy rice noodles and many more can jazz up your plate.
Good place for a business lunch or a friend.
I have frequented this Indigo's location for several years (5-10 times per year). Service has always been good. I love their pasta dishes, but don't think Italian... it's not!
This is a place you should try.
