Very delightful German food.
Wertheim's serves delicious German food. The Jaeger Schnitzel was superb. The crunch of the breading alerts the tastebuds to the tender burst of the pork tenderloin and its succulent juices. The mushrooms and onions enhance the burst of flavor and then the smooth sauce and sour cream draw out the flavor and let it linger on the tongue!
Then to top it off we were served a home made apple strudle that was as delicious as the previous dish. The sweetness of the apples were complimented with rasin and nuts and a mixture of spices that were hard to name. The spices reminded me of a spicy christmas punch. The over all taste of the apple strudel leaves a warm feeling in the mind. Definitely a comfort food to make the mind think of loved ones at family gatherings and wonderful food!
An culinary experience worth repeating weekly if you are lucky enough to live close to Covington Ky. Sadly I live a good distance away. If you do live close to Wertheim's Enjoy the jewel of a restaurant you have tucked so close to you in Mein Strausa village!
