Canlis. Guests can mingle in the ground-floor Studio lounge, with its oval fireplace and espresso and wine service, or head upstairs to the quiet Library for relaxation. Downstairs offers a 24-hour fitness center and the Golf Club, a virtual reality golf experience that can accommodate up to four people on each of its two "courses."

I thought Hotel 1000 would be the perfect place for my daughter and her husband to spend their first two "married" nights together. I made arrangements for one of the special packages--dinner at Boka, a warm bath with rose petals floating on the water, chocolate dipped strawberries, champagne. I also separately arranged for the groomsmen to enjoy the virtual golf in the hotel. I was assured that they would take excellent care of them - provide them with menus to order food and drink since this was during lunchtime while they played golf. Also, a couples massage the morning after their wedding was arranged through the spa. I confirmed everything with the hotel days prior to the reservation date. What my daughter and her husband got was a beautiful small room (it was changed from the larger room that was originally booked), strawberries and champagne, and a lovely dinner at Boka. Unfortunately, the bath was never prepared, the massage was cancelled because the hotel front desk never confirmed the appt with the spa and the guys were shown to the virtual golf room and then left alone--no menus or service. They had to go to the restaurant on their own to get food and drink. When I called the hotel to speak to the manager, Matt, he assured me that he would make sure that the missed amenities would happen the next day. The spa staff were wonderful and did reschedule the massage when I explained the situation. As for what the manager promised -- it never happened. InterestingIy I received an email survey from the hotel requesting input regarding their service. As they stated in the survey -- "All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them." So, I re-stated all that happened as well as my dissatisfaction. There was absolutely no response from the hotel. The rooms are lovely, the staff of the spa and restaurant were wonderful but there is definitely a sense of indifference on the part of the hotel staff and management.
Pros: location, beautiful rooms
Cons: Poor service, indifference on part of hotel management

We stayed here for a quick trip up from Portland. And now we will never stay anywhere else in Seattle! The rooms are large and luxurious, the bathrooms are sleek and modern which is exactly what we prefer to the"average" hotel. Perfect location to all things downtown, 2 blocks from the Metropolitan Grill, which is one of the reasons we go to Seattle :) and also Pikes, Seattle Art Museum. We ordered room service the following morning, which was decent, but probably would have had a better breakfast if we went out. I believe we stayed on the 9th floor, which had a pretty decent view, nothing spectacular by any means. We also tried the Boka Bar in the hotel, had lunch, no drinks, but the ambiance matched the modern hotel. Customer service was to be expected, they did let us leave our bags before we checked in and were prompt in getting things we needed. They have valet parking, we looked around for a parking garage but didn't have much luck. (We might have given up too soon...) The rates are comparable to other hotels in the area and in comparison this hotel is by far one of the nicest in Seattle.
