My impression upon entering was welcoming, from the warm greeting to the hot complimentary apple cider. The layout is large but not cavernous and easy to navigate. I agree that there are some non-antique items, but at the least most soon will be. I feel that items are presented honestly for what they are, and many offer tag information beyond just a price. After each visit, I find it easier to hone in on the individual dealers who carry the items I am looking for. As far as true antiques, I have found many items which now adorn my home; many of which go back to the early 1800's and some that are thousands to millions of years old (fossils, native american artifacts). The prices are very reasonable, and in many instances the owner has helped to negotiate bargaining on sale price. The owner and his assistants are knowledgeable and truly love what they do; Seem excited to share discussions on the merchandise and chat about antiques in general. Whether I make a purchase or not (which is rare), I always leave here with a smile from having had a nice experience.
Not Too Good. read several reviews by the owner and thought I would check out the place for myself. Not very big, so it is easy to go through. Building is unusual for an antique store. Quality is definately lower end, but that seems to be true in a number of stores now. Nothing here stands out to warrant another visit.
A Master Piece It is NOT. Not much to say. I went on the 12th of July based on a recommendation. What a mistake. Mostly flea market material. Nothing good for my collection. In fact, I agree with the other review. This was about the worst, so called antique store or mall I have ever seen. The run down building didn't bother me, but the fact it matched the merchandise did. Not worth another visit. They may want to change the name of the store as Master Pieces Not!
A Great Antique Shop . . . Don't Miss This One!.
A+ Highly Recommended! How could you not like this one?
This is one of the better Antique shops in Cincinnati, Ohio. They have a great selection of genuine 1800's antiques at affordable prices. It's like going through Abe Lincoln's basement. In addition to a great selection of antiques, they also have dealers that specialize in American Indian artifacts, fossils, and mineral specimens. Wow!
There is something here for everyone! Check out their website . . .
Worst Mall In Cincinnati.
I heard about this new mall on the radio and thought I would check it out...wow...what a disappointment. I walked in and one of the dealers was already talking obscene trash to the manager/owner of the flea market...real classy! The place is in an old deco machine shop...smells bad, looks bad and most importantly there wasn't one item there that I would want in my basement, let alone the house! All JUNK!!! Expensive junk, you know, the type of garbage one can pick up for free along the curb....And that is probably where most of this junk came from...THE CURB!!!
That owner should have kicked out that obnoxious dealer...what a disgrace to real antique collectors. Avoid this place...not worth the 10 minutes I wasted.
