Shopping >Walmart Supercenter
My impression of Walmart is that's like
the old K mart before it was combined with Sears. Hardly anyone at the cash registers with lines backed up. That was part of Kmarts issue before they were doomed. It appears that it is repeating with Walmart now. Terrible service. Department managers not found. the workers do not know where they are and you are in the store longer than needed just to get an answer or an attempt to fix the issue.
Another issue is pricing. For awhile you did not need an ad just mention the price and depending who is on the register some are knowlegeable enough to know some pricing at competitor stores while even a manager does not and who should at least look at the ads especially when DVD's are on sale on tuesdays everywhere.
In my case I had seen a price but while at a cash register I decided to ask if they had an ad and she told me I needed an ad now. Any store within a 30 mile radius. When the ad is question was BEST Buy, Miejer and Target. The service desk had some ads but not all. I said that I would go home and get my ads and come back to walmart but instead I went to best buy and bought it there. The reason being I take affense to someone at the service desk that says anyone can say any price and pay what they want. "I AM THE ONE WHO ASKED FOR ADS. I DID NOT WANT TO CHEAT OUR WALMART STORE" but it did not matter. The other point is that they said mangement said I needed an ad from a store outside of the 30 mile radius. Well WALMART, YOU NEED TO EDUCATE YOUR MANAGEMENT AND SMART EMPLOYEES WHAT A 30 MILE RADIUS MEANS. A 30 mile radius is from our Walmart store in Aurora Indiana 47001 in a straight line which includes Florence Ky Best Buy, Target, Sears, Sams, HH Gregg and Meijers.
This 30 mile radius includes Harrison Ohio as well as the Western Part of Cincinnati.
The service desk employee says that is not with the 30 mile radius and that I need an ad.
These do not count. So What Does?
Also when we had the original Walmart then and not this one, we used to have signs up that said Walmart put 50 people to work making lamps for Walmart creating American Jobs. Now there are no such ads and now Walmart promotes creating jobs in China, Vietnam, Haiti, Pakistan etc.
Awful, just awful.
It seems every time I walk into the Aurora Walmart Supercenter I see less cashiers, less people to help. The customer service is poor at this particular walmart, mostly from the "customer service managers"
The store, especially near the back, is consistently messy, and every time I need assistance in a particular area they aren't around. The whole paging idea is flawed horribly because if the missing employee is on break, no one will take the time out of their day to tell you so.
All of these things have happened on several occasions, not just random one time things.
This store seems to run on absolute bare minimum customer interaction, and when interaction has finally drawn them out of that back room, it is, often times, unpleasant.
The familiar smiley face representing the world's largest retailer stands for dependably low prices and customer service..
What started as Sam Walton's vision in 1962 now accounts for more than $200 billion in annual sales. The well-respected discount store emphasizes value, customer care and variety. In addition to a full line of groceries, 36 retail departments offer everything from shoes to DVD players, including apparel, health and beauty products, electronics, toys, fabrics, craft supplies, jewelry and outdoor equipment. Wal-Mart Connect Internet service is also available, along with a wide range of computer equipment.
