Editorial Review for Gold's Gym – by Drew Pisarra

In Short
The Terminator and the Incredible Hulk (aka Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno) lifted weights at the gym's Venice, California, flagship years ago, but even today, customers frequenting charter locations are bound to encounter serious muscle. Take note: The boys with bulging biceps are the mascots, not the majority. Gold's generally offers Spinning, aerobics and kickboxing classes, yet weight-training remains the core of the program. Dumbbells and barbells, not spa-like amenities, are the attractions that draw the beef-heads in droves.

User Reviews for Gold's Gym

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

This is a really great gym it has everything from a cardio movie theater to free weights and dumb bells. They have paper towels and cleaning liquied to wipe off all the sweat left behind from you or the person before you so it is clean! I know when I went to look at other gyms they were not as clean and the gym was not spread out so you can really see all the mashines when looking for the one you want to work out on next. Gold's really has all of that clean, enough space between all the mashines, and many different work out ideas to choose from.

Pros: Clean, Good Staff, A lot of machines

Cons: Some what expensive, Not enough trainers, Crowded after 5pm

Despite its Hollywood connections, this franchise's focus is on pumping iron, not newfangled razzle-dazzle.  See the full editorial review.
