I loved it in the past but believe me I will never be back again. Spend your money elsewhere and read all the other reviews. We went here to celebrtate my sons 18th birthday so we did not make an ordeal at the resturant but the 12 dollar loaf of what you call garlic bread was hard to swallow both price wise and taste. I never review places but felt compeled to let fellow consumers know about this. They will not be in buisness long like this. Good ridence to what was a great resturant.
A disappointing valentines dinner. We just returned from Buca and we were very disappointed. We normally order the mozzarella garlic bread appetizer, and discovered it had changed. It was cut up toasted piece of french bread with a few mozzarella sprinkles on it. Worth about $1.50 - it cost 9 bucks. We asked the waiter and he said it changed from the former flat bread version about a month ago. It was terrible. In addition, because we ordered this item, we did not get the usual bread and oil at the table. What a rip. I then received my Chicken stratewhatever and the chicken had obviously been cooked hours before. It was rubberized with little texture left. My wife indicated her Lasagna was dry, and 90% noodle. We eat at the Columbus Buca more often - and have not been disappointed like this. The food was not good at all. What happened to Buca?
May have been the worst wait service I have ever had in a restaurant.. Yes, it was Christmas Eve. Yes, it was busy. But there is no excuse for a restaurant of Buca di Beppo's rating to treat customers with poor service. From 5:30 to 9:30 with 11 customers seated in our group, we received a total of 2 loaves of bread. It took 40 minutes to get a bottle of wine, 30 minutes for a bar drink. I finally got up and found a hostess to ask if she could find our wait person as we were ready to order. Another person in our party also asked to track down our server later to freshen drinks. The food was average, not special in any way. The manager was very sympathetic and agreed from our conversation with him that there was no excuse for the service. The bill was paid. The person in our party who made the reservation may have been given gift certs for the next visit...after that I doubt we will go back. We use a 3 strike rule and they struck out in one visit.
Itialian Food that is OK, but picturess are pretty neat.
Food is large, and prices are not to bad. The salads at the beginning of the meal are VERY yummy!! I do find it somewhat average, but not bad for the price and the staff is really quiet nice!!

In Short
Homesick for your mother's Italian cooking? Grab your appetite and head to this restaurant, where the friendly wait staff will serve up portions of Colosseum-esque proportions, like spaghetti and meatballs loaded with savory tomato sauce and lots of pungent garlic. Dishes center on Southern Italian immigrant fare, and are meant to be shared family-style with a large goblet of wine-to enhance the taste, of course. The ornate décor with walls covered in vintage photos evokes a warm homey feel that welcomes customers to dine among the other families and loyal customers. Buon Appetito!
Ok for a chain restaurant. This is an ok restaurant for a chain... their cocktails and beer prices are very high. The food is good and kids have fun here. I would go back, but maybe not drink $6 beers.
THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD EVER!!!. I LOVE THIS RESTRAUNT!! WE FIRST ATE THERE WHEN WE WERE IN INDY. THE PIZZA IS GOOD, THE RAVIOLI IS AWSOME AND THE GARLIC BREAD AND SALAD ARE REALLY GOOD! I WOULD EAT THIS FOOD EVERY DAY IF I COULD! WE HAVE NEVER GONE TO BUCCA'S AND HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE. WE HAVE GONE WITH AS FEW AS 2 PEOPLE AND AS MANY AS 18 AND THE FOOD AND SERVICE WAS ALWAYS GREAT!
There's a reason there is never a line....
I had heard lots of good things about this restaurant, so I gave it a try - needless to say I was disappointed, but, hey, everyone can have a bad night, so when my Mother and Sister were in town to meet my boyfriend, I thought I'd give it another shot...BIG mistake. The food is incredibly overpriced, salty, and just generally NOT good.
Aside from the food being BAD, the atmosphere - wait, what atmosphere?! Littering the walls with pictures of old Italian people does not constitute atmosphere. With flippant waitresses, and a serious lack of patrons, we left feeling seriously let down and hungry!
POOR Customer Service. Buca di Beppo mailed $10 gift cards to my neighborhood. After reading the fine print, several times, there was no mention of using several cards together. My family and I went there, ate great food. When we presented our cards to pay for the meal, The snotty waitress let out a big sigh and went to get the manager. The manager said we couldn't use all of the cards together. We asked him to show us this rule on the cards or the packing it came in. He could not and proceeded to treat us like 4th class citizens. Horrible Customer Service...DO NOT EAT there.
Not recommended for large event. Our event was a wedding rehearsal dinner. First, they switched us from the room we had originally reserved---without letting us know in advance...guess they thought we wouldnt notice once we were in there. We had chosen a versatile menu with many choices for our guests. They served us a completely different menu. I think when they switched us to another room, they didnt switch our menu. Manager and owner werent very helpful. Their only concern was in letting us know that we wouldnt have to pay for the extra food (meaning wrong menu) they served to us. Never did get the entire menu we ordered. Unimpressed with managerial attitudes and overall service.
