From the Italian language tapes in the bathroom to the three-liter bottles of Chianti on every table, the vibe here is exaggerated Italian-American kitsch. Boisterous, sprawling dining rooms are modeled after supper clubs of the '40s and '50s--servers holler, kitchen doors swing, and Sinatra rules the stereo. High-carb, red-sauced southern Italian cooking dominates the menu. And everything is big: Platters are piled impossibly high with baseball-sized meatballs balancing on mountains of spaghetti.

I had heard lots of good things about this restaurant, so I gave it a try - needless to say I was disappointed, but, hey, everyone can have a bad night, so when my Mother and Sister were in town to meet my boyfriend, I thought I'd give it another shot...BIG mistake. The food is incredibly overpriced, salty, and just generally NOT good. Aside from the food being BAD, the atmosphere - wait, what atmosphere?! Littering the walls with pictures of old Italian people does not constitute atmosphere. With flippant waitresses, and a serious lack of patrons, we left feeling seriously let down and hungry!
Pros: I didn't have to worry about anyone seeing us eating there

Buca di Beppo mailed $10 gift cards to my neighborhood. After reading the fine print, several times, there was no mention of using several cards together. My family and I went there, ate great food. When we presented our cards to pay for the meal, The snotty waitress let out a big sigh and went to get the manager. The manager said we couldn't use all of the cards together. We asked him to show us this rule on the cards or the packing it came in. He could not and proceeded to treat us like 4th class citizens. Horrible Customer Service...DO NOT EAT there.
