Worst builder in Cincinnati. I am of the opinion Ryan Bryzgot and Tanner Custom Homes is quite possibly the worst builder in the Greater Cincinnati area. I would not have them build a dog house. Unorganized, unprofessional, and deceitful are the best ways to describe this company. Before we moved into a new home built by Tanner, we had to spend thousands of dollars to have the plumbing and gas lines replaced. We were charged for a new fireplace by Ryan Bryzgot, a complete crook, who installed a discontinued model which doesn't work and has broken and missing pieces. The exterior brick of our home consists of 2 different mortar colors. There are numerous cracks in the concrete in the driveway. The patio looks awful. Tanner screwed up the size of the patio and instead of tearing it out and redoing it the right way, they decided to add two sections to the original, done in a different color, so now the patio is 2 toned. Our landscaping consisted of 4 dead trees and a bush. Furthermore, you can forget about attention to detail with this builder. Every single door leading to the exterior of the home has dents put in them by the various subcontractors. We have seams and bumps everywhere in the drywall. 90% of our closet and bedrooms doors do not shut or latch properly. The keys do not work on all of the exterior doors and most are not sealed properly. We had two broken windows. Several of the window locks and cranks were not even installed. The window screens are bent, broken, or missing. There is a leak in our roof which has destroyed some of the drywall in our kitchen. Holes, nicks, cuts are prevalent everywhere throughout the trim and drywall in the entire home. Our door hardware consisted of silver hinges, oil rubbed bronze handles, and brass strike plates. I am absolutely amazed of the poor craftsmanship of the house. But ABOVE all, the best part of our nightmare situation is that Ryan Bryzgot paid NONE of the subcontractors that we spoke to when checking up on him, and we suspect there were more subcontractors that we weren’t able to speak to. Everyone we were able to talk to during and after he left the job told us they were owed money. Pure and simple, this is stealing! Ryan Bryzgot will promise a great home, but he hires the cheapest and worst subcontractors possible so that he can save and make as much money as possible. Tanner custom homes as a company, in our opinion, consists of professional con-artists who will lie to you day in and day out. This has been the worst experience I could have ever imagined. Stay away from Ryan Bryzgot; you could build your home better than he can.

I just want to let the public know this "Hailey T" person is wrong. Her statement is a fallacy. Her existence is one of fabrication. I do not work for a builder and have not posted comments about any builders other than Tanner Custom Homes. I have however had a house that Tanner tried and failed to build according to the plans. They substituted close out specials for Pella doors and installed a 36 inch ventless fireplace instead of a 40 inch vented one. Their brick layers destroyed $3600 worth of windows while using two different colors of brick mortar. The list goes on and on. I will be out of pocket somewhere in the neighborhood of 60K to fix my new home. If that sounds like something you will be interested in by all means contract this company to build your house. Just expect most of the sub-contractors to place liens on your new home. Check out the some of the pictures I have posted to get an idea of what this company will do for you. This site limited me to posting 25 pictures. I have over 200 examples of their laughable work.

Tanner built my home in 2011/2012 and i love it. Enjoyed the experience! Upgraded almost every selection i had and felt that i really got a great deal and they worked very well with me. My husbands boss is now using them for an office remodel and he is very pleased also. I have given their name out a few times in the past year and will continue to do so :)

I just want to let the public know! i work for a home builder in the tri state area (not Tanner) and this "Mike W" person is posting reviews just like this one on numerous different builders website's. We have fought to get his reviews off of our because it is obvious that he is in the industry and is trying to give all other builders a bad name. This is not what these review pages are meant for and its pathetic that all other business owners cannot be mature and fair in this world.

I had my house built by Tanner last year (2012) and had a great experience. My wife is very particular and they were able to satisfy all of her wants and needs in the time frame that they promised. We had a lot of changes along the way that they accomodated very well. I will refer them to anyone i know that wants to build a home.

An extremely honest and knowledgable builder!. It appears that the two negative reviews on this business were posted by another business owner in the same industry. I am stating this because we received phone calls from two other builders saying that a certain builder was posting these negative comments reviews on competitors ad's over the past couple months. We have tried to get this cleared up with the companies that post the reviews without any luck. Just please keep this in mind when looking over the reviews :)

Deadbeat Builder. In my opinion, Tanner Custom Homes is a terrible company. Ryan does not pay his sub contactors in a timely manner if they are paid at all. Tanner will use the cheapest labor and materials available for your new home. Expect broken windows, poorly installed plumbing, and water leaks throughout your house.

Below standard house. Ryan does not provide quality houses. I had built two houses with commercial builders prior to working with Ryan and enjoyed my experiences. He promised items that he didn't follow through on. I live in Loveland and have had interior and exterior problems with my house. My wife and I did our research prior to building with Ryan but were mislead because we thought he would provide us with a quality product.

Problems: bath leaks, water damage, cracks in ceiling, cracks in cement.

I would love to sell my house but will take a substantial loss.

I do not recommend this builder for anyone looking for a professional builder. There are many of them available but Ryan is not one of them.

Getting to know you!. I have been working with the owner, Ryan for a few months now on a condo that he is building. He is very interested in knowing my likes and dislikes, even when I don't know.

He is always suggesting different ways of doing things to enhance what I am looking for. Ryan is very knowledgeable of what is happening in the industry and he understands from an home-owner's perspective how it will be impacted. It amazes me how Ryan is committed from the first day of building of any project from start to finish. Ryan seems to always knows what is going on.
