Using grapes from Lake Erie's tiny Isle St. George just two miles from the Canadian border, Meier's makes wine and has been doing so for more than a century. Visitors can take a tour of the winery which starts with a multi-media presentation on the history of Meier's and the wine-making process and concludes with a tasting. Meier's is known for its sparkling wines, but also makes premium sherries and many other varieties.
