The atmosphere may be lacking, but families dig on delivery from this chain for its cheap, tasty pizzas and sandwiches..
In Short
The dine-in facilities at LaRosa's are small and sterile, with plastic booths and napkin holders that usually need filling, but they're there if you need them. More often, pizza lovers carry out the goods or have them delivered with that magic number. Those not in the mood for pizza can branch out to a calzone, hoagie, lasagna, spaghetti with meatballs or even a salad. There are over 50 items available, so something is sure to please.
Lost the right to be called "Italian". The pizza is OK, but cheap and stingy with toppings for the overpriced menu across the board. They use something akin to rabbit pellets in their lasagna, and if you call for delievery they will skimp, knowing you won't send it away at the door. I called the home office to complain and they essentially laugh at me. They're like politicians knowing they will remain in business long after we're gone. They are a shadow of what they used to be, going for the profit instead of the quality. Too bad.
A Cincinnati Tradition. LaRosa's Pizza is up there with Skyline on food I need to eat when I come home from school it is delicious.
Pizza Heaven. I LOVE LaRosa's pizza! I'm so happy we now have one in Southeast Indiana! No more drives to KY or OH for my favorite pizza! My friend from Michigan had never had this pizza till this past summer when the LaRosa's opened down here. She loves it! Just like the Gold Star Chili! I can never move from the Tri-State area b/c I would miss my pizza and chili! I think there pizza beats out all the others, but that's just my opinion!
Need to have it. I went into the Air Force in 1986, been around the world and back again. Been to Sicily and LaRosa's still stood the taste of time. People who dislike it really do not like pizza.
Best Pizza Ever!!!. I grew up in Cincinnati and now live in New Jersey and I have to say that I would kill for a slice of Larosa's pizza. Pizza joints are on every block around here and nothing compares to my well missed back home Larosa's.
ordering online is the way to go. LaRosa's is great! I consider myself quite the pizza critic and have only lived in Cincy 1.5 years. It's damn good pizza that can be delivered. It's not the best pizza in the world, but quite good. I also like the baked buddy w/ italian dressing. Ordering online is great because of all the options offered that you forget about when ordering via phone. I prefer to have the pizza delivered because I think the atmosphere sucks in the joints. The only prob w/ the pizza is too much sauce. Tell them "light on the sauce" and it's far better.
Delicious. A few years ago when my husband told me that we were moving to Louisville, I was crushed. Where was I going to find delicious pizza? I have to say I have yet to find a good pizza place here. Everytime I go for a visit to Northern KY, I stop for a bite to eat at LaRosa's. It is a craving that never goes away.
LaRosa's. I live in Michigan and whenever passing through Cincinnati, stop and get a LaRosa's to go, eating while driving! It is the BEST!!!
This is not Pizza.. How does this cardboard crusted, poorly conceived lame excuse for pizza merit being called the best. It appears that folks in Cincinnati have become too used to the poor to mediocre in more aspects than just sports. You'd do better by purchasing a bargain brand frozen pizza.
