Editorial Review for Burnet Woods – by Rosemary Hoyt
In Short
Measuring 89 acres, both students and families use Burnett Woods for recreation, picnics and the occasional concert held in its quaint gazebo. Along with an artificial lake, the park includes a shelter, tables, grills and children's play equipment. Visitors can also stop by the Lone Star Pavilion, a gift from the Sons of the Republic of Texas, which commemorates Cincinnati's gift of two six-pound cannons to Sam Houston when he was fighting for Texas independence.
