Dock continues to reek. Sadly, the Dock continues to decline. I have a real problem with this place. First, they charge a cover fee of $10.00 which is ridiculous. Second, they have these damn Ham. Cty. Sheriff incubi patrolling the parking lots and chasing away cruisers. Yes, I know hustlers can be a problem, and I have no problem with cop chasing them away and, or arresting their diseased bodies. However, we don't need to be chased out of there if we are sitting in our vehicles wanting to TALK to other guys and take it elsewhere. Third, this place has too many str8 women and les*boes in it now. They take up space hot men could be filling. Fourth, most of us are not into Drag Shows and that ilk. Dock needs to get rid of all of the above. I won't spend my money there and hope it goes out of business fast. Hope someone buys it and creates a butch dungeon master theme and prohibits women from entering. Get your own dike bars biothches. And str8 biotches go to ur own str8 bars!
Highly Recommended on Friday Nights (Drag Shows).
I would highly recommend Friday nights if you are looking for young crowd, fabolus Drag Shows and a lively dance floor with great music. I have been to almost all of the bars/nightclubs in Cincinnati, but The Drag Show on friday night here is better than anywhere else.
All other days of the week is kind of slow with very few people around.
I liked it.. I've never been to any other gay bars, because I'm a straight female.. but I did happen to go with a gay friend and I had a blast. I've only been 2 or 3 times but each time was fun. I went there on "goth night" with some straight friends and a Saturday with my gay friend. Each time was packed. The music was loud.. and I personally loved the shows lol but I guess I have nothing to compare it too. I have heard about its decline.. and I have heard Adonis is better. But for a few bucks its a good time. As for the smart butt remarks from the money takers, I've never had a problem. Most of the time I get complimented, and on Goth night the nice dude didn't send me back out to my car to get my ID, which was terribly nice of him. Aside from that, i think this place gets a B.
WHO ARE THOSE GUYS?. THE DOCK IS A GREAT PLACE. GOOD TIMES. CHECK OUT FRIDAYS . PACKED. SATURDAYS ARE COMING BACK BIG. CALLED LADIES NIGHT AND IT IS BUT A LOT OF DUDES GO THERE TOO. IT'S NOT ONE OF THOSE STUCK UP PLACES. THE GUYS THAT MADE THE PRIOR COMMENTS MUST HAVE CONNECTIONS TO THE OTHER PLACE. THE DOCK WILL STILL BE AROUND WHEN THE OTHER FOLDS. TALK ABOUT A PRETENSIOUS PLACE. LOL
what happened?. I stopped by a few months ago during the week, and was shocked that there were only a dozen or so people there, odd-creepy people at that. YEARS ago i used to love the hip-hop nights. In synch with the poster below, the doorman made a smart comment about my pants being too tight. Um, it's a gay club, dip-stick, and i like fashion... get over it. And i'm supposed to give them my 5 or 10 dollars? Well last night i tried a saturday night to be fair, and there were for sure less than 20 cars in the parking lot at 11:45 at night ... Saturday. Considering a few of those cars had to be staff cars, and the token old prowlers... there's still nobody there on the weekend - so i didn't even bother to go in. I always used to drive through the back parking lot for a "giggle" too, but now it seems to be one creepy truck or van, and some 19 year old on the sidwalk looking for a "ride".... time for cincinnati to get a new spot. what is with this city?
Avoid Anynight!. If you walk in and see this place empty, just talk to any member of this bars staff and you will know why! Poopy attitude from ALL members of the staff and the majority of their crowd. (which happens to be mostly 25 and below) You wont get past the door staff without some kind of smartass comment. It's quite a shame, this COULD be a nice place but the A-HOLES who work here dont want this to happen. They desereve only untimely demise by bankruptcy and soon so someone with a personallity can take it over. Dont waste your time or money.
This gay men's club lives up to its reputation for excitement..
In Short
The first bar visitors encounter at the Dock is on the patio with a sand volleyball court hosting live action and regular league play throughout the week and women's leagues on Friday nights. The second is a video bar where the Dock's visual offerings and video games can be enjoyed by all. The third bar is a dance bar with a DJ spinning European house, jungle, disco and hip hop every night.
From Columbus Pride Productions Inc.. We had a great time Wednesday at the club, and the staff was nice. The DJ and the sound was wonderful. The coat check tends to make the wait in line long and a VIP line could help. Overall something to do and fun....don't hate.
a ship with out sail.
Dont waist your time, The bar is on its last leg
Last Saturday stopped by 5 people (Its A Saturday!!!)
All the original qualities are gone its being run by someone without business sense.
Look for another fresh bar to go to
Best Place to Party. The dance floor at The Dock blows away any competitionin Cincinnati, str8 or gay. The Court Street bars are too small, too crowded, have too many twinks with too much attitude. The new DJ at the Dock plays the best dance mix ANYWHERE in this city, everything from house to hip hop. My str8 girlfriends love to go there and dance. there are always fun parties and crazy people to meet. the drag shows are better produced and more professional than at other bars too. If you like to party with wild and crazy people, go to the Dock!
