Great atmosphere/Fantastic Music. I highly recommend this place. The music was the Art Gore Quartet and they were phenominal. I wanted to surprise my boyfriend, who is a musician, with quality jazz and this turned out to be the perfect choice. The atmosphere was romantic and the drinks were good. The club takes having quality music seriously and keeping the atmosphere quiet, except for the music. You can talk at a nearly regular voice and really enjoy each other's company and the music.

Best Atmosphere and friendly staff. As soon as you walk in the door you feel like you have been a regular for years. Some of the best live Jazz in the area. Just don't get there too early

The Blue Wisp has been the city's premier jazz club since the late '70s. A full bar keeps everyone happy in the low-lit, smoky atmosphere. If you love jazz or you're looking for a classy follow-up to a fine dinner, the Blue Wisp is a great choice. The club hosts local and national jazz and big bands. Wednesday night is big band night featuring the Blue Wisp Big Band. The house band plays standards that have enough volume and punch to make you wonder why rock and roll was ever necessary.

Smokers Welcome. Thank goodness Jazz still has a home in Cincinnati, albeit a new home opening soon we hope. It is refreshing to know that people have at least one venue to hear music, and not Britney Spears vs techno. Support live music, support live jazz.

relaxation. this jazz club has a very relaxing atmosphere. it's true there isn't much furniture just tables and chairs but over all the place serves its purpose. the house band is very good with instruments like bass, drums, saxophone, piano, all very into their music. it's a great place to hang out with friends and listen to the band... but it's not much a place for conversation. the cover charge is usually six bucks which isn't bad if you go for a while. expect nothing and you may end up really likeing the place!
