New exhibits open regularly at the Cincinnati Zoo, from the re-vamped "Big Cat Canyon" to "Vanishing Giants." Visitors can spend a day exploring the 70-acre home to 700 different animals and species plus more than 3,000 types of plants. Fierce but gentle lowland gorillas and the elephant Ganesh are favorites with zoo regulars. Educational and entertaining demonstrations feature many of the zoo's most popular animals.
